Media you want, when you want it - the benefits of podcasting

Like most professionals today, you probably don't have time to read all the books you want to read, catch up on the latest news, or even keep up with everything that's going on in your industry. What if there was an easier way to digest all the information you're interested in rather than reading endless articles, websites and books? What if you could soak up all that knowledge on the train, in the car or in your lunch break, quickly and easily?

This is where the benefits of podcasting come in. Put simply - podcasts are like radio or television programs that can be downloaded from the internet and played back on your PC, iPod or other portable media player. The thing that makes the benefits of podcasting different from other media you might download is that they are syndicated. This means you can subscribe to your favourite podcasters and new programs will be automatically updated on your Itunes (or other media player's) library.

These significant benefits of podcasting make it an extremely handy way to enjoy your media, but there is another major benefit. With so many podcasts now available, there is something for everyone. From major international news services such as the BBC to business and marketing to scuba diving - whatever your interest there is sure to be a podcast out there targeting your niche.

And if you can't find a podcast on your passion, why not create one yourself? It's easy to do on your home computer and it could help promote your business. Once you start we're sure you'll see benefits of podcasting. There are tutorials on the iTunes site to get you started:
