A small business based in Lilydale in Melbourne's outer eastern suburbs called 'Valley Industrial Coatings' approached iQuantum 2 years ago to help them market the business. Why Valley? They are located near the Yarra Valley. They are in the business of applying epoxy type applications to concrete surfaces. They had been quite successful in the food industry, but still did work in other sectors.

Our research found that everyone of theircompetitors looked the same, all saying the same thing, no one standing out. We also liked the food industry because it is Government regulated with food safety standards, therefore floors have to be replaced on a regular basis. The thing we liked most, nobody owned the category.

By changing the company name to Food Flooring (we also obtained the URL www.foodflooring.com.au) we became the defacto experts in this niche. We developed the USP - 'Commercial Floors You Can Eat Off' and then we briefed a graphic designer for a professional logo and web site look and feel. The copywriting was done by us in-house to speak in customer language. Very Web 2.0 with the use of three client profiles on the home page - FMCG, Food Manufacturers and Food Retailers.

The web site has attracted many good quality leads and projects, it has also reinforced the companies professionalism when business card, quotes and direct mail are sent to prospects. The large building contractors would not even respond to 'Valley Industrial Coatings' yet they openly embrace, send plans for quotes and employ Food Flooring. Same people, same quality of service and application of the products; but now they are being considered where as previously they were just another company.

We are continuing our consulting services to assist Daniel and his team to cope with the massive growth they are experiencing.
Lee Hecht Harrison:

Multinational labour hire provider Addecco have an outplacement subsidiary called Lee Hecht Harrison. Australian CEO Bruce Anderson had a few problems.

Firstly the http://www.lhh.com.au/ went straight to the http://www.lhh.com/ USA site.

Secondly the language on the site was not easy to understand.

iQuantum was engaged to research the market and recommend the best strategy to implement a local Australian site for LHH. A totally new site map was designed based on keyword research, the client provided content and research material so that we could write new content based on the keywords identified. A web designer was selected who could deliver a CMS that could be hosted in the Adecco environment (many CMS systems are done via ASP). We worked with the client and the designer to create the right look and to fulfill the strategy or talking in customer language in a very personal and sensitive way.

Above is the http://www.lhh.com site. Below is the new http://www.lhh.com.au version which was launched in June 2008.
